My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days at Lake Clarens Guesthouse. We were met by Bruce the owner and Claudia the manager on arrival and were immediately made to feel at home. It's perfectly located over looking the park, dam and mountains. The Breakfasts provided were certainly 5 star quality, as was the service received. Our son, in Scotland, communicated with Claudia to provide a hamper and lunch. Claudia went the extra mile to make both surprises more special. We will definitely return.

It was such a beautiful place my girlfriend said yes to my proposal. Whoooa! Everything about our stay felt so homey. The host went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious. The room had all you could need and want (underfloor heating, heated towel rack, electric blankets, smart TV, coffee/tea station, huuuuge bed) with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. We woke up early to watch the sunrise from our porch and feed the animals by the lake. Such a memorable stay. Will definitely be back. :)

Spent the most lovely, peaceful week here. the staff, Claudia and Bruce (the owner) are friendly, most helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay perfect, not to mention the great breakfast. Their attached street cafe is a fun get together spot with great food, thank you Claudia for the super meals and your homely hugs and chats. This is our second stay at "Lake Clarens" and it will always be our first choice when staying in that area. Thanks Guys, keep up the good work :)

Value for money, clean and neat. Pretty, secure and peaceful. Centrally located. Large, homely breakfasts. Interesting method of ordering breakfast which we thought could be more user-friendly.

Had a really great stay. The room suited our needs, our car was safe (and washed each morning), breakfast was amazing and staff was good. Really recommend this place if you are traveling with a dog! We will be back!
