Nestled in the picturesque Agter-Pakhuis Valley, 26km from Clanwilliam on the tarred R364 route to the historic Wuperthal village, you will find Klipspringer, located on the De Pakhuys Vleiplaas surrounded by the majestic Cederberg mountains.

Self Catering Accommodation

Klipspringer is a deluxe chalet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with twin / King-size beds and the third bedroom has two single beds. The bathrooms are fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, an oven and a fridge. There is a comfortable living area with a fireplace, smart TV and Wi-Fi. The cottage boasts air-conditioning, and an outdoor braai area.

Guests have access to a shared pool 250m away.

This chalet is completely off-grid and does not have loadshedding.

Attractions

The Farm is one of the top international destinations for Rock climbing and bouldering. The Cederberg is also known for its farming of rooibos tea. The Cederberg region is only two hours from Cape Town and yet the landscape is completely different: wilder, warmer with a raw, dramatic beauty. Clanwilliam and Citrusdal with its towering mountains, brilliant purple and orange sunsets, laden with the scent of orange blossom in the spring.

Lambertsbaai and Elandsbaai, with their perfect waves for surfing, offer open-air restaurants serving only the best of our seafood and have an abundance of bird life to be spotted. Wupperthal and Elandskloof, both missionary villages situated within these magnificent mountains, both have a wealth of history to be discovered.

The overall stay was acceptable however the accommodation needs some attention to detail, we found cobwebs almost everywhere in the house, the bathrooms definitely need a lot more attention as the taps were leaking, water pressure is low and bathrooms are run down. The off grid system definitely does not cater for the requirements of the house as the batteries ran flat during our stay with no warning. One Aircon is definitely not enough, They can at least install fans in each bedroom. Unfortunately we will not be back.
