What a total gem. My new favourite place in South Africa (apart from where I currently live). The lodge is stunning. A huge stoep/patio/veranda that begs you to sit and have a glass of wine while just enjoying the view and the absolute peace and quiet. A tribute to Pete and Heather on their design and build of this lodge. Its got just the right furniture in just the right amounts to make it comfortable and not sparse nor overstuffed. The dinner we pre ordered was delicious and gratefully received after a long day driving. we arrived later than anticipated and would recommend spending more than one night here to really make the most of this spot. Which is my intention every time I travel the length of the country from now on. Would totally recommend this place at the risk of giving away a secret find - and would definitely come back. Pete and Heather and family are very friendly, lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful, quiet, relaxed, hospitable hosts, superb accomodationn, delicious breakfast. An interesting land management plan that aims to integrate environment and people. I am sure we will return some time.

Awesome ! the peace & quiet, the farm, the owners - what they have done & what they are going to do ... I cannot wait to see more. Cherry on the top - the muffins supplied with the huge breakfast, they were still fantastic tasting 2 days later. Well done & thank you.
