Nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain, with sweeping views across the southern suburbs, False Bay and the Hottentots Holland’s mountain range, The Jonkershuis is situated on Groot Constantia Wine Estate. As the oldest wine producing wine estate in South Africa, Groot Constantia is steeped in history and heritage. Established in 1685, it is now a bustling wine estate, considered part of the top seven tourist destinations in Cape Town.

Venue

The Jonkershuis is situated in one of the original thatched buildings and we are able to offer our guests various seating options; outside al fresco dining under the oak trees, inside in the original old world building or in our rustic courtyard.

The courtyard can set up to 120 guests and is where most of wedding receptions are hosted. Set between the four white washed walls of the restaurant, this courtyard space lends a magical feel to any event.

Our private dining room is ideal for conferences, intimate wedding receptions, corporate events. The smaller rooms with the roaring fireplaces on each end and doors that open up on to views of the vineyards and the Manor house are a popular request for intimate functions.

The Menu

Our menu which reflects the Malay heritage of the Cape is designed to offer the option of a plated meal to a Cape Malay feast of shared platters. Our popular breakfasts are a wonderful way to bring colleagues, family and friends together. Choose a set breakfast menu or our a la cate breakfast menu.

With 12 years of experience behind them, our function team is able to assist, prepare, plan and execute whether it be a get together of long lost friends, a wedding celebration or an exceptional corporate event of up to 250 guests.
