Beautiful self catering exclusive use lodge, set in KZN forest, perfect for our multi generational family (8 yrs to 85 yrs). The lodge provides ample space for relaxation, escaping the outside (and each other), with several lounges of varying heights to allow for different conversations to blossom, a well equipped kitchen, large deck with swimming pool, sun loungers and braai, as well as 4 separate en-suite rooms, a 20 second walk away from the living/socialising space. The bedroom suites are spacious and gorgeous; each with a private deck looking into the forest. Despite being fully glass fronted to allow for views, the forest offers each room privacy. Outside showers, large baths looking into the forest, massive comfortable beds, sofas and writing table all encourage relaxation, slowing down, and appreciating nature. The lodge itself, set in a private game reserve, allows for self-guided bush walks at leisure and morning runs (for the more active). During a morning walk, we saw giraffe, Wildebeest, zebra, warthog and Nyala. A male and female Nyala regularly visited our deck, whilst Bushbabies called at night. During our 8 night visit, we explored Hluhluwe, St Lucia and more local highlights, such as a private game drive at Bayalq and a tour of Zulu Croc. 3 hours drive from DUR airport. Highly recommended as a relaxing getaway and a chance to reconnect. Sleeps 8 max, across 2 twins and 2 king bedrooms, each en-suite.

We stayed at Lazuli 4 nights with a couple of friends and children. It was a wonderful experience. The place is truly enchanting. Totally surrounded by greenery. The main wooden block with large sliding windows houses a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, a bar station and a living room with very comfortable sofas and a splendid fireplace. Outside there is a grill, a large table and a wonderful swimming pool. In front there is a small lake with fish, tadpoles and frogs which were excellent entertainment for the children. The rooms, scattered throughout the estate and connected to each other by wooden walkways, are very beautiful. They too are completely immersed in vegetation, very private and with large windows from which you can see the many animals that roam the area. One morning I even came across a Kudu that had gone to the pond to drink. But there is also no shortage of opportunities to see monkeys, Busch Babies and many other animals. A few minutes from the Lodge there is also a restaurant (which also offers take away) and a small grocery shop. We had a really good time and the children had a lot of fun. We hope to return soon.

We stayed at Lazuli Bush Lodge in April and everything was just wonderful! The place is magnificent and the rooms very comfortable, there is also a swimming pool and an outdoor grill which offer a unique experience of immersion in African nature. We really enjoyed the two safaris we did in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, an unforgettable experience that gave us unique emotions and during which we saw four of the famous Big Five. Near the Lodge there is also a restaurant which offers good cuisine based on local products with an international touch. The restaurant also offers a Take Away meal service, very practical during the safari. The staff is very friendly. An indelible experience that will remain in our hearts.

What a wonderful, unique place! Seclusion and harmony with nature thanks to the contemporary design of the main lodge which opens completely onto the forest, and invites it in. I stayed to explore Isimangaliso, Hluhluwe and Mkuze for the outstanding birding and wildlife, and spent time on the Kuyleni reserve it is situated in, walking and birding in the forested landscape. Those trees are alive with birds, and loved seeing the resident nyala, giraffe and warthog. I wish I had brought friends and family with me, as this is an ideal hideaway to base a crew and explore the entire northern KZN.

What a beautiful place to getaway and connect with nature. You are completely surrounded by forest and the pond just outside the living area guarantees daily encounters with wildlife like Nyala, Duiker and Warthogs. Your rooms provide for a private escape after a day filled with adventure. You can enjoy an outdoor shower, or relax in the “forest” bath. Would highly recommend for a getaway with friends and adult family.

The Venue was really lovely and staff very friendly - unfortunately the toilet in the one unit was not working and despite advising the staff no action was taken to repair same - the swimming pool was green which was a pity

Lazuli Bush Lodge is very private and in a stunning location, quiet, secluded and peaceful. a Great base, to explore the natural beauty of Zululand, Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park and other offerings in the area.

Beautifully designed throughout, wonderful outdoor showers, and everything you need in the kitchen. We loved listening to the bush chorus which changed through out the day, and had some up close encounters with the enormous giraffe! Highly recommend this for families or groups of friends.

The lodge is lovely, I don't think 💭 the pictures do it justice. Ideal for people that love nature and want a tranquil weekend surrounded by all things nature. I would recommend this place for a group of friends, couples or family getaway. Kitchen is fully equipped, there is literally anything and everything one can think off. There's a Spar a few Kms, you can do your groceries and buy drinks there. Loved this place

Our stay at Izungla was nothing short of exceptional. It was extremely refreshing to meet a service provider who informed us in advance of any and all potential complications with our stay. I big thank you to the team for making our stay as comfortable and memorable as ever.

There are few words that can describe our wonderful stay at iZungla Lodge. Not even the bad weather could dampen our spirits as we cuddled up in front of the fireplace with some excellent wine and great friends. The rooms provided perfect privacy for romantic bush baths and there are few things that can compete with lying in the beautiful four poster beds, with the crisp white linen and cosy duvet, all the doors open and just switching off and taking it all in. Or if you were as lucy as my boyfriend who went for an early morning walk and found himself within metres of a graceful giraffe family! I recommend iZungla Lodge to anyone who can appreciate nature, solitude, a beautiful environment and luxurious living.

I just wanted to take this time to thank you for your hospitality during our recent stay at iZungla. You may remember that I took my dad there for his 70th birthday. He was amazed and utterly impressed by it all. The staff that I met were both very professional and very courteous, and that indeed added to the enjoyment of our stay. The god-daughter was very impressed by Pumba, the warthog, that came out in the morning to greet us at breakfast. Seeing a live "Lion King" animal was almost too much for the little 3 year old. iZungla resort is indeed an exceptional place to stay, and I will heartily recommend it to all of my friends. Well done and thank you.
