We enjoyed the accommodation. The decor is tasteful the whole, beautifully appointed. Lovely garden, the iceberg roses were enchanting. The agent who gave us the keys and welcomed us was very responsive to our requests. It was very interesting and rather unfortunate that on three occasions we had beggars come onto the property, some were very persistent despite the responses in the negative to their importunate demands, others were bullying and intimidating. Eventually we called the security company for their presence and to ensure that the beggars moved off because they looked set to stay until we had given in to their demands.

The noise levels coming from the main house(only seperated by a sliding door) was very disturbing in the second bedroom. You can't help to hear every movement and conversation.

On our arrival champange on ice with chocolates, flowers, candles and hearts everywhere. The attention to the little details is what makes it so special. A stunning cottage with all the little luxuries you can think of. What a way to relax. Gill and Doug where so warm and welcoming. I loved our wonderful chats. Cape Cottages in McGregor is an excellent place to stay and all 4 cottages are really well equipped. All have satellite TV and some have wi-fi facilities as well as lovely fires and braai areas. The cottages are located in quiet street and are within walking distance of all the restaurants. the gardens are private and mature and the special offers for a 3 or 4 day stay unbeatable.
