Hluhluwe Gate Bush Camp is a mere 150m from the Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserve fence line making it the ideal accommodation for exploring the reserve. The lodge is one minute from the gate for easy access into the park.

Accommodation

The Hluhluwe Gate Bush Camp has accommodation in Chalets, each sleeping two people. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower, a bar fridge and a private balcony overlooking the Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Big 5 Game Reserve.

On Site Facilities

There is a large communal entertainment area and for those self catering, a central kitchen is on hand with fridges, a gas stove and utensils provided.

There is a cosy lounge and bar area, as well as a dining room near the accommodation. Braai facilities are provided and a fantastic fire pit provides the perfect spot to gather round the camp fire and watch the sun set over the reserve, while the lions roar and the hyena cackle in the distance.

Staff from the surrounding community take care of the day to day running of this beautiful property.

History

Situated on tribal land, which belongs to a local Zulu family, means that this new venture is directly empowering the local people and its economy. Kyle van Huyssteen was approached by the family to open a functional lodge on the property, on a lease and a business ownership basis. Now, together with the local people we hope to provide you the valued guest with an unique, affordable and quality bush experience!
