Rustic but comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Fresh orange juice, seasonal fruit with a touch of honey followed by fried eggs, bacon, sausage, mushroom etc. We also have dinner there, the homemade pizza is to be recommended as the chicken with rizotto with hops. Nevertheless, the noise of cars on N7 is too present.

I normally don't write reviews (many reviews do start like that of course), and being in marketing, I know that the reason for writing reviews are either disppointment, boredom or (not too often) total contentment. As for our stay in Hebron, it is clearly the latter. It was clearly the highight of our trip in SA (also for our kids aged 7 and 10). They reckoned that Steve was "the best cook in the world" and his place the "best hotel". Frienly staff and dogs, a fantastic location, spotless accomodation, a wonderful pool to chill, great breakfast and lots to do in the area and star-gazing at the Southern Cross at night, what more can you ask for? Ok, it does get hot ;) We will be back, thanks Steve!

Great place, great owner super food

We loved our stay at Hebron. The location is wonderful with a great pool, comfortable room, delicious food & friendly, welcoming hosts. Sadly we were there over a Sunday & Monday night so the cafe was not open but we realised from the fantastic breakfasts that the food served is top notch. Meanwhile Steve was extremely helpful in giving us good advice on what to do in the area & we had an interesting tour of the local Rooibos factory. We definitely plan a return visit, Camilla & Colin

The accommodation is rustic and fairly basic. However, the bed was very comfortable, the setting is lovely, the hosts warm, helpful and friendly and the cuisine outstanding, in fact some of the best food in Southern Africa.

Set in a lovely country setting with gardens surrounding the buildings, we relaxed for 2 days and enjoyed wonderful food at the Cafe. Close access to the Cederberg's is a big plus. Friendly, warm staff made our stay that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Such a lovely relaxing place with just the friendliest people ever! They really looked after us so well. Breakfasts were just amazing. We'll definitely be back!!!

We stopped for lunch and were spoilt beyond belief by the exquisite food, brilliant service and excellent views. The chef works well under pressure and was still concerned enough to make sure all patrons were well looked after and catered for. We could not have left happier at all and will most definitely be returning.

We were looking for a relaxing place that would cater for vegetarians, was environmentally conscious and would allow us to bring our dogs! Quite a lot to consider perhaps, but in Hebron we found that and much more with Steve and Caro. The food was exquisite, the rooms were tasteful, homely and welcoming. There was a lot of attention to detail but not in an overly fussy way, a quality practical, simple and stylish way. We really enjoyed their energy and the space they had created in Hebron and will be returning soon.

Atmosphere and mood are the 1st thoughts that come to mind. The host / chef / owner has a pleasant disposition - casual - friendly - humorous and a great chef. Will be back again and recommend family & friends Keep it up Steve!!

Lovely weekend spent exploring the area using Hebron as our base and Caro as our loval guide. - Breakfast was wonderful looking out over the amzing landscape and we had to get back for Steve's 5-star cuisine for supper which was exceptional cooking from such a rsutic and homely guest house. Very recommended for families as well as couples seeking seclusion.
