About De Hoop Cottages
De Hoop Cottages offer affordable farm accommodation just 10 km out of Robertson on the farm Laaiplaas, which is situated right at the end of the De Hoop-kloof at the very foot of the Langeberg. The cottages were renovated, upgraded and named after the last guys who lived there before new modern houses were built for them. Adam and July are still working on the farm.
Self Catering Accommodation
De Hoop Cottages has a selection of open plan self catering cottages which are the original houses inhabited by the farm workers in earlier years. A self catering bush cabin is also available and is situated privately in a kloof - for the more adventurous!
The cottages have electricity and the bush cabin only has gas. We also supply starter quantities of dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar and milk.

Attractions
Apart from breathtaking mountain views, guests can enjoy pristine nature, do some bird watching, go for a hike on the farm or in the kloof to reach clear mountain pools and have a swim in the dams. Or you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The farm is only 10 km from town and 15 minutes' drive from all necessary shops if need be, as well as all the wine cellars that the valley is renowned for.

Wonderful location and friendly hosts. Cabins are peaceful and private in a picturesque setting very close to Robertson. Walking on the farms is well marked and takes you past wonderful look-out points and dams. Perfect for mountain biking too. Thank you for a relaxing stay and for offering exceptional value for money.
