On arrival the place looked amazing. Lerato was a friendly, helpful Host. Bedroom was great - but the hot water tap on the basin did not work at all - just kept turning! This was only discovered on our departure when my husband want to shave, but forgot to mention to Lerato. On care looking the main areas are in desperate need of maintenance, inside and outside. Dinner was a total disappointment. We both chose the T-bone and we emphasised how fussy we are with our meat being cooked correctly - we both order medium/rare and both were overcooked by a long shot! We told Lerato, but were not offered another steak to be correctly cooked. Vegetables were a non event - raw, plain mixed veg and a few "crumbed" baby potatoes - nothing edible on the plate. Starter was ok and dessert was ok. The fact I had to pay for a cup of black coffee after the meal was most irritating. I would not hurry to recommend this establishment to any of my friends Management, if there was such a thing was no where to be seen - perhaps Lerato is host, waitress, manager all rolled into one?

Everything was perfect. Better than expected. Good value!

We were here only one night on our way through to Natal from Kruger and enjoyed it immensely. We stayed in a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable room with very generous bathroom - everything had been thought of including fires lit for our warmth in the evening. The whole place is very attractively decorated with really interesting colllections of furniture, pretty courtyards all set amidst lovely gardens and views. We were looked after by Zeph for our entire stay - please double his pay - he's marvellous! Delicious food for supper and a lovely breakfast as well. Many thanks

We had an amazing stay at this very special lodge. It was such a pleasant surprise to reach the lodge at sunset and be greeted by such a stunning place! The lodge is even more stunning in real life! We felt right at home and was treated like royalty. Rob and his team made a huge effort to make our little girl of 20 months comfortable and even prepared special meals for her. We went on a wonderful game drive with Jerry and he had such great knowledge of all the wildlife. The look on our daughters face every time she saw an animal was priceless! Our picnic lunch overlooking the mountains was extra special! The food was delicious and every meal was a treat! Our room was very spacious and comfortable with stunning decor elements as well as special attention to comfort as only a five star facility can provide. We would definitely recommend the lodge to our family and friends! Thank for an amazing weekend!
