We enjoyed our stay! The service from Linda, Irene and George was excellent. There is however a damp problem that needs urgent attention.

My husband and I spent 3 amazing days at Craighross in September. Given that it was winter, we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves, and while the ocean was chilly, the lagoon just next to us was perfect for a swim. From the front deck, we could see pods of Bryde’s whales in the ocean while enjoying a braai and glass of wine. At night, the fires inside the house kept us warm over games (well-stocked in the house!), books and conversation. We had made plans to spend our days visiting local attractions and towns, but once we got to Craighross we found it very hard to leave! There are also tons of things to do nearby, from hiking along the beach to gathering mussels and oysters in the ocean. Inside the house, there is everything you could ask for, decorated in a beachy, bright style. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, glasses, etc., and our maid Constance was incredibly helpful. This is an absolutely magical home, perfect for small or large groups, and situated in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

We had a wonderful time on this beautiful beach. We will definitely come back.
