Rooms comfortable and neat and clean. STAFF FRIENDLY WELL RUN AND RESTURANT ON THE PREMISES IS A BONUS!

We were looking for a midway point between Johannesburg and Swellendam for 4 of us to meet for a 2 day workshop. Celtis popped onto our radar. We liked what they saw and made our booking. We worked with Louwrens and his staff to make sure we had everything necessary for our workshop. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. We sat outside in the garden for pretty much the whole evening eating bar snacks and enjoying a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We had 4 rooms with air-conditioning - necessary as it was 36C every day. They were exactly as advertised. The beds were hard, which we all liked. Clearly the restaurant is a big hit as it was well supported every night. The lamb chops were of the best we have ever had. Sox was exemplary and took great care of us. She was charming and attentive and it was a joy to engage with her. I had no hesitation to book Celtis for an overnight stay in February,

Good spot to break a long road trip. Food was excellent and the packed breakfast a bonus.

Pure coziness in the Karoo!

We stopped over in Middelburg over the Easter Weekend and had to book well in advance to ensure we could be accommodated at the Lodge. Once we arrived we could understand why this little gem was so popular. The accommodation was very neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and linen crisp & fresh. We also had dinner & breakfast at the on site Celtis Restaurant and the food was to die for. Not your typical Johannesburg meal, but home cooked type meals full of flavor. We slept well knowing that our vehicle had been parked on site. (the parking area is enormous) and behind security gates with remote controlled gate. We would definitely stay over at this Lodge again should we ever pass through Middelburg in the future.
