Wow!!!! What an awesome long weekend we had at Cedarwood Cottage, as a large group of 7 adults and 7 children we wanted a place to stay, to catch up and just chill. The cottage was spacious, well laid out, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and what a kitchen, the open fire place was perfect for the winter nights and warmed the place beautifully. The tennis and netball court was a huge hit for adults and children alike, great running and walking trails. The cottage was our home for the weekend, it was clean, unique, comfortable and Jenny is an exceptional host. Our biggest surprise was how comfortable the beds were and everyone slept so well!!! The house was an adventure and we kept discovering the beauty of a wonderful family home. I would highly recommend a stay at Cedarwood Cottage!!!!!!!!!!

From the moment we arrived at Cedarwood Guesthouse, we were made to feel completely welcome. We were a large group: five families all with young children, staying between the big house and the smaller cottage, and every detail had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When I think of the owner, Jenny, and her management of the guesthouse, the phrase that immediately comes to mind is “generosity of spirit”. In a world which has become so materialistic and focussed on costs, her generosity is truly like a breath of fresh air. No tiny coffee sachets or miniscule single soaps here…it’s generous jars of coffee, full boxes of tea, cupboards filled with every kitchen utensil one could possibly need, and it makes all the difference in the world. Crisp white linen, large fluffy towels, smiling cleaning staff for whom nothing is too much effort, and set in the magnificent calm of the Midlands, Cedarwood Guesthouse is most definitely worth a visit…and another one…and another one after that!

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe Cedarwood. We have just returned from an 8 day in this little (actually large) slice of heaven. From the huge open fire place, to the comfort of the beds, with fine linen and the old fashion tubs, this is definitely the place for those with champagne taste and sparkling wine money. Each night I lay in bed while the big ol' house groaned and moaned her good night to each of us. This house has been lovingly built from an old dairy - its filled with charm, style, love and character. It has everything and everything works. We will most definitely be back - our children even insist on it. Jenny, we cannot thank you enough for all you did for us. You are the ultimate self catering lodge owner :-)

What a beautiful property! We really enjoyed our stay at Cedarwood! The house is large, comfortable and clean. We had several parties and had plenty of space and all the dishes, etc. we needed for everyone. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms (especially the big tubs!!) were great. It is a unique place to stay and convenient to lots of places to see and things to do. Jenny is a lovely lady and very accommodating. I would recommend this for anyone to stay.
