Bushwillow Collection is a highly recommended KwaZulu Natal game lodge providing a wildlife experience for discerning tourists visiting Zululand.
Bushwillow is your very own home in the Kuleni Game Park on the Elephant Coast, 170 acres of pristine native bush. Take wonderful walks on the excellent hiking trails, and be fascinated by the smaller fauna, but also by zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, impalas and nyalas, which you will encouter.
Even the most demanding of you will be amazed by the richness of the birdlife, the variety of trees and the plant world. Of course you can simply relax in the lodge and enjoy the luxury and comfort of Bushwillow.
What to expect at the lodge/reserve
Bushwillow Collection offers Hluhluwe accommodation to suit your mood. Choose one of our boutique self-catering chalets with private pool and quirky design, and let the bright and cheerful colour schemes lift your spirit whilst still allowing nature to bring balance.
Contemporary design, high ceiling timber chalets with wooden floors combine quirkily with bright colour schemes and invigorating styling. Self-cater in style! The boutique chalets are self-contained and spacious with stackable doors and lots of glass allowing the bush to seep into the airy and vibrant rooms, providing an energetic contrast.
The kitchens are well equipped for guests to prepare their own super meals. There is also a gas braai outside. Crisp white linen, individuality and privacy guarantee a restful stay. Each chalet has its own private viewing deck and a cooling plunge pool in which to wallow.
Continental breakfast can be brought to the chalet in the morning at an additional cost if required. Or we can prepare a packed breakfast for you. Evening meals can be provided at our main lodge, but this is subject to availability and it is essential to book in advance.
Bushwillow Collection is ideally situated, allowing for both a bush and beach experience. On your doorstep, find the world-renowned Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, known for its Big Five. Day trips to other important game parks in the area are also possible.
Enjoy excursions to Sodwana Bay, Cape Vidal, Charters Creek and False Bay to discover coral reefs, sandy beaches, coastal dunes, mangrove swamps, ancient sand forest, and magnificent lakes; all a part of The Greater St Lucia (Isimangaliso), Wetland Park, the most important estuarine wetland system in Africa, which is a recently declared World Heritage Site.
For the more adventurous, enjoy canoeing, horse-riding, diving trips in the area. Or, for those who wish to pamper themselves, there is a nearby spa where you can enjoy a wonderful spa treatment.
