Jeanette was an excellent host, and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The unit itself was beautiful, exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping was excellent. There are, however, a few things we feel future guests should be aware of when booking. We were disappointed to find that we could not have friends visit us at the property. As a mature couple, we certainly weren't looking to host parties or make noise, but it would have been nice to be able to invite a few friends over for a quiet visit, meal or braai. There is also no private braai area for the unit. The available braai is situated on the patio of another unit, which can make you feel uncomfortable using it while other guests are staying there. Similarly, the swimming pool is positioned directly in front of another unit, so using it can feel as though you are intruding on someone else's private space. Because of the layout, there isn't really a comfortable outdoor area attached to the unit where you can have a braai or spend time with your family. We therefore found ourselves spending most of our days away from the property rather than simply enjoying a relaxed day at the accommodation. That said, the accommodation itself was lovely, clean and comfortable, Jeanette was a wonderful host, and we had a very enjoyable stay. We would simply recommend that future guests are aware of the visitor restrictions and shared outdoor setup before booking, particularly if having your own outdoor braai space and occasionally enjoying the company of friends is important to you.
