We booked Truffle chalet which on the website looks amazing. The reality is however slightly different. We found the chalet to be neat and tidy, but it's extremely basic and not being well maintained (again compared to the photos on the website). The rooms are basic with nice beds and linen, enough towels, etc. The curtains however don't do much for the harsh morning sun. We found the "lounge" area uncomfortable and basic with only two lounge chairs and a small sofa. This is really not suitable for 4 adults especially if you are staying a few days. The veranda also only had a weathered table with four chairs (metal with no cushions). So, it comes down to a lack of comfort. The space is not comfortable. The views and sunsets are beautiful, but that you can also get somewhere else. The chalet has sliding doors all around which is great for the vies, but no curtains or blinds and it really gets hot during the day, so unless you escape to the pool area (also no shade), you pretty much suffer the heat. The thing that bothered us the most and that made us decide to go home a day early, was the number of flies. As we got there, we accidentally met the cleaning lady who informed us about the flies (if not for her, we would've had a big surprise). We actually had to go buy extra Doom and fly catchers and after 4 cans of doom and about 20 fly catchers hanging in the chalet not really making a difference, we decided to leave. It was really disappointing and besides the friendly communication from a lady (who kept on saying she is communicating with us on behalf of someone else) we can't recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first weekend away with the use of hot tubs. There was plenty of wood and they had been heated for us before our arrival. The location was peaceful and we had all that was necessary for a family weekend away.

The views and walks around the cottage are beautiful and we had a wonderful time in the hot tub. Ewald also brought us the most delicious olives and rusks to enjoy, which was a lovely touch. They are building additional accommodation at the moment, so there's some building material around, but I'm sure it will look great once done. We also just had a minor issue with the water in the cottage not quite warming up, so a shower was a bit scary in the cold weather!
