About Arends Rus

Arends Rus is located on a mountain top at Loskop Dam with unique views of the dam. The lodge can accommodate a total of fourteen guests in a farm atmosphere. Loskop Dam is a major attraction because of its close proximity (two hours or less) from Pretoria, Johannesburg, Nelspruit and surrounding towns like Middelburg, Groblersdal, Witbank, and Bronkhorspruit.

Accommodation

Arends Rus has three cozy, private log cabins and a private room in the main lodge. Linen is supplied in all the accommodation but guests should bring their own towels. FREE Wi-Fi is available as well as a swimming pool and a braai area.

Each cabin has two private bedrooms. Each has two double beds or two singles and a double. There is a full bathroom, open plan lounge / kitchen with a fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, gas stove, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Outside is a deck, open air shower with hot water and a built in braai area. All the cabins have dam and mountain views and an undercover parking bay. Housekeeping can be arranged at an additional fee.

Area Information

Groblersdal is home to an abundance of game farms. You'll also be glad to know that game viewing in Groblersdal can be enjoyed on foot and is an all-year-round event. Yet, instead of the traditional game viewing experience usually offered, Groblersdal affords visitors the spectacular opportunity of game viewing by boat at the Loskop Dam Nature Reserve. This protected area is alive with an abundance of vibrant birdlife and fascinating wildlife.
