About Mad Giant
Mad Giant Brewery, situated in Johannesburg (Gauteng Province), is focussed on steering clear of the conventional way of doing things and insisting on innovation, questioning, doubting, learning, experimenting, and taking the leap to greater things.
What started as a tiny brewery in a tiny town, perched on the coal fields of South Africa, has blossomed into a vibrant hub where inspiring brews are crafted.
The Mad Giant product range includes
Killer Hop
An American Pale Ale made with three hop varieties in huge quantities, this has undertones of honey, caramel, biscuits, malt and tropical fruit.
Urban Legend IPA
Expect to taste mango, guava and papaya in this gutsy India Pale Ale that is anything but pale.
The Guzzler
This Pilsner is designed for big thirsts. It is complex with a floral, grassy and lemon bouquet. The initial bitterness is finished off with a lingering malty sweetness.
True Grit
An amber ale with a medium bitterness, followed by notes of caramel, toffee, honey, biscuits, citrus and fruits.
Electric Light
This is a Weiss with heart and an easy-drinking option for just about everyone. It boasts a malty sweetness with floral, citrus and clove nuances.
Mad Giant offers fantastic brewery tours, inviting visitors to be part of the entire process and to experience the magic for themselves. Beer tastings are rewarding and are a must for those that want to get the most out of their Mad Giant Brewery experience.
