About Coffee Talks Cafe

Bloemfontein, the city of roses, is one of the largest cities in the country. Still, it manages to maintain an authentically South African charm and warmth, despite its ever-bustling city centre and constant development.

Coffee Talks is one of this city’s quirky, inviting little hubs in which to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, or conduct business meetings within a comfortable setting. Coffee Talks embraces the whole experience of drinking top-notch coffee, and is not just about pouring a hot cuppa. This café encourages languorous chats with friends, indulgent time spent away from the office, intimate dates with the one you love. This is not just about coffee.

Still, the coffee served here is excellent. It comes from acclaimed South African producer Masterton’s, where bespoke blends are created and the freshest beans are roasted to perfection.

The menu comprises a fascinating collection of Mediterranean and especially Israeli dishes. Breakfasts include a hearty shakshuka, or a Mediterranean wrap, as well as more traditional bacon-and-egg options. For meals over lunchtime, there are cheese, potato or spinach burekas (triangular pastries), chicken or tuna salad with flatbread, shawarma, or a mezze platter, as well as chicken strips or a burger. Try the savoury pancakes with salads for something hearty and delicious. There is a chicken option, as well as a spinach and feta one.

The Coffee Talks shop is charming to explore. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oils, olive products, freshly baked breads and rusks.

Bicycles are available for hire from the shop so that visitors can explore the adjacent Seven Dams and the Lilyvale area from the comfort of a saddle. In addition, there is a car wash service here, which is ideal for those wanting to make the best use of their time drinking delicious coffees and sampling excellent food.
