Itinerary

  1. DAY 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Guests are collected from the hotel and head eastwards to the Kruger National Park in the province of Mpumalanga, ‘the place where the sun rises’. Guests have the opportunity of freshening up, on arrival, before embarking on an afternoon’s game drive in an open safari vehicle. The Kruger National Park forms part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. This peace park links South Africa’s Kruger National Park with Zimbabwe’s Gonarezhou National Park, in the north and with Mozambique’s Limpopo National Park, in the east. At 20 000 km2 the park is roughly the size of the Netherlands.
Guests return to the hotel and enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

NOTE: Fly-in package: Includes flight from O.R. Tambo International Airport to Skukuza Airport and transfers to the hotel

OVERNIGHT: Protea Hotel Kruger Gate or similar – dinner and breakfast

  2. DAY 2: Kruger National Park

After breakfast guests enjoy a game drive in an open safari vehicle. The Kruger National Park boasts 16 macro ecozones and because of its varied topography provides sanctuary for 500 avian species and 1 980 species of plant. The park’s diversity ensures an unforgettable bushveld experience.
The tour stops for lunch (own account) in the park.

Guests return to the hotel and enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

OVERNIGHT: Protea Hotel Kruger Gate or similar – dinner and breakfast

  3. DAY 3: Kruger via Long Tom Pass to Johannesburg

Guests enjoy an early-morning game drive before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
The tour departs, after breakfast, for Johannesburg, via Long Tom Pass (time and weather permitting). Enjoy lunch (own account) en-route. The tour concludes, on arrival, at a Johannesburg city hotel.

NOTE: Fly-in package: Includes transfers from the hotel and flight from Skukuza Airport to O.R. Tambo International Airport
