Review by: Tom Minney, London (stayed: October 2011)
I very much enjoyed my stay here. It is in a very quiet valley, with its own paths up and down the farm and good jogging along the dirt road. It was great to enjoy rural quiet and beautiful views. The place is quirky and charming, many of the buildings make extensive use of recycled bottles to create walls with diffused light (the owners collected carefully from many years of running a successful restaurant in Grahamstown). The owners are very friendly and helpful and there was a quiet kitchen for me to work, and friendly young zebras, buck, cats etc to keep us company if we went for a walk (zebra was a bit pushy, like any teenager). It was not the most luxurious or comfortable, but suited me very well and I would recommend. |
