Wolfkop Nature Reserve is situated 5 km from the village of Citrusdal, at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains, overlooking the golden valley of citrus farming, and offers 2 completely private and luxury self catering cottages. The peace and serenity of this reserve is only surpassed by the magnificent sunsets. Being centrally based, the Wolfkop reserve is ideal for exploration of the Cederberg and the Cape West Coast. The ExperienceThe rustic experience of this Fynbos reserve includes: • Jacuzzi on veranda overlooking valley • Interesting rock formations and rock art (bushmen paintings) • Breathtaking views of the Olifants River Valley and majestic Cederberg Mountain Range. • Hiking, rock climbing, mountain bike trails with rentals, canoeing in river (rental), and farm dam to swim in with mineral spring water, tennis, squash, golf and quad biking rides available in town West coast and cederberg day tours with mountain bikes and 4x4 vehicles is available • Small variety of wildlife and birds • Springtime carpet of flowers and proteas • A bore hole provides the reserve with sparkling clean drinkable spring water. • Each chalet has a herb garden and a hot outside shower in the fynbos. AccommodationThese 3 luxury cottages is completely private from one another and is situated on the Wolfkop Nature Reserve at the foot of the Cederberg mountain range. The Cottages: Tolbos, Boegoe and Waboom The 2 roomed cottages have 2 single beds in each room with a sleeper couch situated in the living room. Bedding is provided. The cottages also have an indoor fire place, fully equipped kitchen as well as television (SABC 1,2,3 and eTV - please bring your own DStv smartcard) and air-conditioning. • Each cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. • An outdoor braai facility is situated on the verandah overlooking the picturesque valley. • For your privacy and safety, access to reserve is controlled with an automatic security gate. DINING:Wolfkop Nature Reserve offer the following meals that are served at each cottage: Breakfast: Continental, health and English Lunches: Wraps and open sandwiches Dinner: We offer a South African Culinary Experience with dishes that is influenced by Dutch, English, Malayen, Indian and Bantu. Please mail us for the Menu and do book well in advance as we only take 10 seating. Notes• We regret no pets allowed • No 3 and 4 wheelers or noisy 2 wheelers • No check in after 20:00 Luxury river tent villageThis Totally private Freeform (Bedouin) village pitched up for you at a dam or at swim hole at the river with no other campers in sight. Your private village include a 6x6 freeform tent with hammocks. Inside is a best quality 4 person big canvas tent with 2 x single pocket comfortable mattress, cotton bedding and cotton towels. Fully equipped kitchen with utensils to use on fire and gas stove. Table, cutting boards, washing up equipment lights etc is provided with solar power fridge/freezer. Your bathroom is a flush toilet (porta potti) with our famous paraffin hot water rocket showers. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner is optional and can be served at your private village at an extra. Enjoy relaxing at the river with your own private swim hole, mountain biking (for hire and routes), rock climbing, canoeing (for hire), bird watching or just relaxing in a hammock listening at the sounds of nature.
