Arriving at our home you will enter through hand-carved wooden doors, centuries old and originally used in castles in India. Entering our castle-style home you will be swept away into another world with decor imported from India and Morocco. As a guest in our home you will sleep under raw silk and velvet bedding, hand-made in India, in each of our six en-suite bedrooms.

A guest house is a place where strangers are received as guests in a home. In this house we give you an experience of what accommodation really should be like, come and visit us as a stranger and leave us as a new friend. Accommodation

“A thousand and one Arabian nights”. Everything has been thought of for our refined guests in an always surprising décor. Four en-suite rooms each carrying its own decoration offering luxurious atmosphere and sophisticated elegance.

Come and be pampered in a hot bubble-bath, then slip into a luxurious silk gown before laying your head down for a night of peace and sleep under a feather duvet and a handmade raw silk or velour bed throw from India in rich oriental colours. Our 4-star treatment includes TV with five channels, tea / coffee tray, complimentary fruit basket, hair driers, feather duvet, raw silk and velvet bed throws.

We have a strict “No Smoking” rule in the house and bedrooms.

Dining

“Always expect a meal prepared with love”. Our breakfast consists of two courses, a fruit plate which is as easy on the eye as it is on the palate and a hearty English breakfast that will carry you well into your day. Savour dinner within an intimate and refined atmosphere in the dinning room or in the privacy of your room.

Our dining room is richly decorated with hand made silk and only the best imported Indian furniture for your comfort. We do not have a liquor license, but you are welcome to bring a bottle of your favourite wine. Please drink in moderation.

Location

We are situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on a hill in Vredenburg nearby Paternoster, Saldanha Bay, Langebaan, Jacobsbaai, St Helena Bay, Veldrift and Hopefield. Vredenburg is the business hub of the West Coast, situated 150km North of Cape Town. Once a year in late August and September the area is transformed into a country garden when all the flowers of the veld bloom simultaneously after the late Winter rains.

Langebaan lagoon is a world-class site for kite-surfing and similar water sports. The icy waters of the Atlantic might not always be suitable for swimming, but they certainly yield many fish like Snoek and Stompneus. The occasional whale and dolphin is spotted from the shore. Other than these activities the West Coast is the perfect place to do nothing. Rest your soul, revive your spirit and recuperate your body.
