The beautiful Villa Brigitte B&B and Guesthouse is situated in Heatherlands, a leafy, quiet and upmarket suburb in the heart of George. From the villa you look onto the majestic Outeniqua Mountains with its winding passes leading the way to the world-famous Cango Caves and Ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn. George is a golfer’s paradise and Villa Brigitte is the place to stay as the house is only 50 meters from the well known and much frequented George Golf Course. Other golf courses in the area include Fancourt (3 courses), Oubaai, Pezula, Simola and Pinnacle Point, to mention only a few! Oubaai Golf course has a breathtaking ocean view and was designed by the South African golfer, Ernie Els. Ernie owns a house on the beach front in the scenic Herolds Bay, a 15 minute drive from Villa Brigitte and is often to be seen in the area. ACCOMMODATIONThe Guesthouse offers 5 luxurious double rooms at very reasonable rates. The house features one twin room, one master suite with a king size bed, one room with a queen size bed and two rooms with double beds. All rooms have a shower en-suite and the master suite also has a bath. An extra bathroom in the house is available to guests who wish to relax in a bath. Every room is equipped with a TV, Telephone, Fax and wireless LAN are available while ample secure parking ensures a peaceful sleep. Every room has tea and coffee making facilities and we have hair dryers available upon request. BREAKFASTDepending on your preference, Full English and Continental Breakfasts are served either on the (covered) patio or in the dining room. The dining room can be arranged to fit 10 people at a single long table or can be broken up into smaller 2 and 4 seaters to ensure privacy. Self CateringVilla Brigitte features a fully equipped barbeque in the entertainment house. The entertainment house has a fridge, tables for dining and a relaxing bar where clients can either make use of the honesty bar option or bring their own. Glasses and ice are available. The modern kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a six-course meal! It has a double eye-level oven and a lovely glass-top stove. Naturally the kitchen also features a dish washer. The dining room has a DVD player and a fire place. Meals can also be enjoyed on the covered patio. The house is fully serviced and as breakfast is always provided, access to self-catering is an added bonus and pertains to lunch and dinner only. FACILITIESA separate entertainment house set in a beautiful garden is equipped with a bar, grill/barbecue and DSTV and will make your stay even more enjoyable. (Guests can also arrange access to the kitchen for a self-catering option.) The villa is fully serviced. The house is decorated in beautiful white furnishings and the linen is only the best. In summer, romantic candle light dinners on the patio is simply a must! For colder days the house is equipped with state of the art electric heaters and the dining room has a cosy gas fire place where you can enjoy a glass of wine or simply relax and stare into the flames. ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIESPanoramic views over the Outeniqua Mountains lend a rural feeling to the area, but you are within walking distance of various excellent restaurants and many shops. Apart from golf, you can practice many other sports, as the George Sports Club is only 300 meters away. The gymnasium is a 10 minute walk from the guest house. The manager, Ilse, does not stay on the premises, but is always available and just a phone call away.
