The Muize is a family owned and run guest house located in Muizenberg, Cape Town. Situated on the Zandvlei Nature Reserve estuary with mountain, sea and river views. This is the perfect home away from home while exploring everything that Cape Town has to offer.

Accommodation

The house is a newly renovated grand old dame from a former time. It boasts 8 bedrooms (6 with en-suite bathrooms) and 2 additional communal bathrooms. The house has been neatly refurbished and the rooms artfully finished to accommodate the traveler or business person.

Standard Room With Shared Bathroom (2 Rooms):
These rooms offer all the comforts of the other rooms, the only difference being that the bathroom is separate from the main rooms. The downstairs room has its own bathroom, with two of the upstairs rooms sharing a single bathroom (an ideal option for a travelling family)

Standard Room With Private Bathroom (4 Rooms):
These rooms are ideal for a travelling couple or for a single traveler who likes his space and comfort. King size, orthopaedic beds ensure a good nights rest is guaranteed.

Premier Room With Private Bathroom (2 Rooms):
Spacious Room with King Size bed and magnificent views of the Ocean, Mountain and River. Balcony access and lixuriously furnished.

A continental type breakfast, with South African flavours, is served as standard each day. Those seeking something heartier can order from our ingredients menu, and let Meg use her kitchen gifts to create something memorable.

The Muize has 2 braai facilities available for guests who want to try their hand at one of South Africa's favourite pastimes. Ideal for entertaining a few old friends or even a few new ones that you've met on your travels. We can provide wood and all braai utensils, spices and cuttlery. Don't worry, the clean-up is included in our offering.

Adrian and Meg can provide airport shuttle services and taxi services to help all travellers in getting about and exploring the area.

The beaches in the area are renowned amongst surfing and kite-surfing adventurers. A short trip to Table Mountain, recently declared one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, will open a world of hiking, mountain biking and trail running opportunities. The lagoons and lakes in the area are renowned bird sanctuaries. Everything in Cape Town is easily accessible from this picturesque location.
