The Jays Guest House offers three tastefully decorated and comfortable double en-suite rooms with private entrances as well as 3 self catering rooms suitable for business persons or private visitors to Pietermaritzburg.

Tastefully decorated and comfortable double en-suite rooms with private entrances, suitable for business persons. We are a non-smoking establishment. However, smoking is permitted anywhere in the garden.

The Blue Suite and The Pool Room are spacious and suitable for lengthy stays with the option of having a king sized bed or two single beds. The Garden Room has a double bed and is only suited as double accommodation for overnight stays.

The Blue Suite has limited self-catering facilities and is equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave oven and bar fridge.

Self-Catering (3 de-luxe rooms)
Spacious, modern rooms with double beds, large bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, slim line TV’s and desks and outside verandas with lovely views over the garden and valley.

All rooms have are equipped with wall heating units and fans. The Pool Room has an air conditioner. Tea and coffee making facilities and DSTV are provided in all rooms.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast can be enjoyed next to the pool (weather permitting) or in the dining room.

Internet, fax and printing facilities are available.
Safe off-road parking is provided and a lock-up garage is available.

LOCATION

We are close to the Show Grounds, Botanical Gardens, restaurants, hospitals, city centre and N3 Highway. Durban is 1 hour away and the mountain resorts and battlefields are within 1 to 2 hours.

ATTRACTIONS

Other places of interest include the Howick and Karkloof Falls, Midmar and Albert Falls dams, game parks at Tala, Lions Park, Umgeni Nature Reserve, African Bird of Prey Sanctuary and locally, Butterflies for Africa; which are all well worth a visit.
