Went with my partner to celebrate my 40th birthday & I was surprised with a proposal. Staff knew about the surprise & they planned it with my partner & went all out. It was so romantic such a memorable night. Another warm gesture was washing our car whenever we came back from our day trips. Thank you for a such a warm & professional hospitality. Enjoyed all meals too.

A very special place to spoil yourself. The most amazingly efficient staff. The spa is sublime, super professional and affordable. The meals are delicious and an absolute treat. The views from the bedrooms are awesome. Cannot wait to go back, this was a phenomenal weekend of spoils and treats.

National heritage views, out of this world. Awesome stuff. Room big and neat. I would not recommend picnic to anybody. Its a ripoff

I feel for the price you oay you shouldnt still have to pay a tip. Out recommended tip was R600. After spening money at the soa and dining in the restsuarant. I would have gkad tipped the friendly staaf but i feel it unfsir to expect to pay anothe R600 extra. I feel that this is not value for money

A most beautiful place to relax in and enjoy the spectacular views. The chalet we stayed in was wonderfully located overlooking the gorge. The service was excellent and friendly. Even under the restrictions of lockdown and an inability to enjoy a glass of wine with one's meal it made for a most enjoyable visit. We will return.

I love everything , from the lady guard at the gate , she gave me such an awesome welcome before that Michael whatsapped to assist in sending the location as I had arrived at the Oribi hotel which was the wrong place but he was always on whatsap checking on me. The stay was magnificent! I tell all friends about it everyday since. The staff makes it feel like heaven, they make the place pleasant and enjoyable every single minute!

I enjoyed my stay at The Gorge service and Hospitality the Villa exceeded my expectations 🙏🏻the only Place that need attention is the Spa rooms they need to meet the standard of the Place as Villa is 💯 but at Spa there was Dust towels & were not in the standard really I was disappointed and the Receptionist must try to be Friendly She didn’t even smile

This is an outstanding boutique hotel - exceptional views of the gorge, gourmet meals and excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit to this Lodge.

A piece of paradise hidden in plain sight! Attention to detail, charming and efficient staff, and cuisine of the highest standard would have been sufficient but when combined with the amazing beauty of the gorge it lifts this establishment into the realms of exceptional. We enjoyed a wonderful stay and a have left The Gorge with a burning desire to return before too long.

My husband booked me and two of my friends for a day of pamper at The Gorge for my birthday. I can’t imagine a better gift than this. We felt like royalty. We would just like to thank Mike, Catharina and the employees of The Gorge for treating us with the highest standards. Our spa treatments were unforgettable and our gourmet lunch prepared by Deon himself was a taste that you have to experience yourself. The service that we received at The Gorge was beyond 5 stars. WOW! The atmosphere is wonderful. Relaxing & Revitalising. Everything we've ever wanted on our doorstep, we'll be back! Deon - your food is the best food we have ever eaten . . .YUM. And. . . my husband doesn't eat mash but boy, oh boy, did he love your fillet & mash. He's hooked! Such inviting staff. Our 1st Anniversary was wonderful. All the best!

Incredible, I just couldn't believe the view from our breathtaking veranda. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were so well mannered and helpful. We will definately be back again to this place, it's a little piece of heaven hidden away. An amazing chef who spoilt us rotten and the massages were so relaxing. Thank you.
