Our home is set in spacious surroundings within the tranquil and secure Beaulieu ('a beautiful place') Country Estate, home to many equestrian lovers and bordering Kyalami Equestrian Park / GHS, where the major events in Gauteng take place. The estate boasts delightful walks and bridle trails as well as an extensive bird sanctuary for enthusiasts. The guest house itself opens out to an abundant, leafy garden, also home to a variety of indigenous birdlife.

Accommodation

Each suite has been tastefully decorated with a co-ordinated colour theme, by a creative young interior designer. Two suites occupy the top level which is open thatch with a private wooden deck, whilst the other two are on the ground level and open onto their own private patios. They all have en suite bathrooms with either shower or bath, satellite television, safe boxes, wireless internet access, heaters, fans, tea and coffee facilities and bar fridge. Beds range from twin to king with an emphasis on quality mattresses, linen, duvets and pillows to provide the utmost comfort. Extra blankets and hotwater bottles are provided for chilly highveldt winters.

The suites are named after indigenous thorn trees in the Setswana language
• Mooka (Sweet Thorn)
• Motsha (Scented Thorn)
• Mosu (Umbrella Thorn) and
• Mokata (Monkey Thorn)

Guests are welcome to relax on the patio or in the garden and make use of the sun loungers and pool. Refreshments may be ordered from the staff on duty.

Dining

Breakfast
Rates include breakfast and we provide a selection of cereals, muesli and fresh fruit as well as a traditional English breakfast with tea, coffee, fruit juice, toast etc. Your rate is discounted if you don’t require breakfast.

Dinner
From the chef’s table, available on request booked the morning before for an additional charge. Special dinners or a braai (barbeque) for groups by prior arrangement.

Lunch Packs
On request booked in advance and collected at breakfast.

Services and Facilities

Laundry
All suites have a laundry basket and guests staying for more than two nights can have their laundry washed and ironed (charges apply). A dry cleaner / laundry is also located at the nearby Crowthorne Shopping Centre.

Wireless Internet
An access code will be provided on request but large downloads will be charged. Internet / email facilities are available in the office.

Activities and Attractions

Walks
The bridle paths are locked for security reasons but you may request a gate remote if you wish to take a walk on one of the many trails.

Birding
The garden has an abundant range of indigenous birdlife and the Bird Sanctuary equipped with many 'hides' is within walking distance.

Horse Riding
Horses are stabled on the property and outrides can be arranged with the owner for experienced riders.
