Sunshine Cottage is midway between East London and Port Elizabeth. Know for the wonderful temperate climate, pristine endless beaches, friendly ‘village’ atmosphere and the magnificent Kowie River (29 kilometres inland), which flows out to the warm Indian Ocean. Sunshine Cottage has a wonderful view of the Kowie River. Fully equipped self catering cottage, only minutes to the beaches, river, town centre and restaurants. Escape from your busy life and experience the serenity, tranquillity and absolute beauty that this little town has to offer. Port Alfred is one of the few places that have a remarkable range of activities from fishing, sand boarding, surfing, canoeing and boating, hiking and two well known golf courses. Kelly’s Beach has a Blue Flag status and ensures safe swimming. ACCOMMODATIONCottage, sleeps 4: Has two bedrooms, one has double bed and the other two single beds. Both bedrooms include built-in wardrobes with hangers, dressing table and mirror, side tables with lamps and a casual chair. Both rooms have overhead ceiling fans and heaters if needed. A separate dining area with a table, four chairs and a server. Small outside braai facility with garden table and chairs. House, sleeps 6: The house is only available in December. Has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room, lounge and bar area. Large braai and entertainment area on river view side with plenty outside patio furniture. FACILITIESThe Cottage is fully equipped. All linen and bedding included, two pillows per person, bath and hand towels each. Change of fresh linen depends on length of stay. Client to bring own beach towels. Kitchenette has a microwave, two plate hob, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, good quality pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and all cooking utensils. The lounge has TV, with DSTV and video/DVD machine with comfortable two seater couches. Modern fully tiled bathroom with shower over the bath, hand basin and WC. ADDITIONAL FACILITIESThe House and Cottage are available together over Christmas / New Year holiday period and sleeps 10. Braai facilities and equipment with outside furniture for your comfort. Electric gate gives safe off road parking for cars, boat and trailer. The Cottage and House are totally secure with the added security of armed reaction. Arrangements can be made for domestic help for a nominal fee. Animal friendly (conditions apply). ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONSBeautiful beaches, river activities like water skiing, canoeing, river and deep sea cruises, scuba diving, beach and deep sea fishing. Pineapple Farms and inland historic sights at Bathurst and Grahamstown (home of the 1820 British Settlers). Royal Port Alfred Marina and small boat harbour (availability to hire or launch boats). 43 Air School gives small aircraft and helicopter lessons. Game Park, Bradshaw’s Mill, Horseshoe bend view site of the Kowie River and Paradise Cheese Factory. Thirty-three different restaurants, Take-aways, Antique Dealers and a variety of attractive shops.
