Sam Rogers and Jacques Pauw - former award winning investigative journalists and documentary filmmakers recently revamped her from head to toe and decorated her with an eclectic mix of art and collectibles accumulated from their travels around the world.

The food philosophy is ‘’local is lekker’ and their dishes are straight from ‘jou ma se kombuis’. We've brought back old favourites like vetkoek, monkey gland sauce, snoek cakes, sosaties and chicken pie.
The Red Tin Roof has become the kuier plek in Riebeek Kasteel with regular music events. It is rated four stars and our guests rave on Tripadvisor.

If you are looking for a place with a mix between old Cape splendour and modern simplicity, this is the place to get married. Picture-perfect Riebeek Kasteel and imposing Kasteelberg form the perfect backdrop for the celebration of the love of two people.
We have the ideal venue for smaller and more intimate weddings, parties, dinners and formal and informal receptions. We can host weddings and events for up to 60 people while we can accommodate ten people in five en-suite and air-conditioned bedrooms.
The bride and her bridesmaids can literally walk out of the guesthouse onto a red carpet where her groom would await her at the pagoda.
We will furthermore assist you with a photographer, flowers, a marriage officer, a musician, a wedding cake and whatever else you need. And if you want to use our Indian tuk-tuk as your wedding limo, you are most welcome.
We call our kitchen “Jou ma se kombuis…” and our style of food can best be described as Swartland bistro. Unlike other venues we don’t have set menus that you must pick from. We prefer that you contact us and tell us what you want and what your budget is and we will design a food-package for you.
