Beautifully positioned in the heart of a bird sanctuary on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast, Portland Six is an Eco-Scandinavian styled timber cabin which sleeps four, set on two levels with a third mezzanine level.

Accommodation

Welcoming and spacious, each unit consists of one bedroom with two single beds, open-plan kitchenette, dining room and balcony on the first floor. The second floor is open-plan with a queen-size bed and lounge area. Guests are able to enjoy the partial sea views from the rear windows, balcony and tree views over the Pennington village from the second floor.

Neutral tones create a calm relaxing environment with touches of colour to add vitality. The large open-plan rooms provide ample space, yet still remain private and cosy. The bright welcoming atmosphere ensures privacy with access to the indigenous and tropical garden that attracts a wide array of common and rare bird life. Enjoy breakfast on the balcony while watching the large variety of bird life, or sip cocktails while the sun sets.

Attractions and Activities

Close to Portland Six lies the championship golf course, Selborne Country Club and Golf Course, Spa and Restaurant complete with bird watching and game viewing as well as the Umdoni Golf course which has a considerable reputation in KwaZulu Natal as being one of the most breathtakingly beautiful and hugely pleasurable to play.

The impressive Lynton Hall, built by the sugar baron Sir Frank Reynolds, is situated within 65 hectares of pristine coastal forest and 12 hectares of perfectly manicured gardens containing rare plant species, palm trees lining the driveway, vast expanses of green lawn and amazing bird and butterfly life, and the perfect place for that dream wedding. All are within a 2km radius of the accommodation.

The sandy Pennington beach is within a short walking distance, a mere 600m from the Portland Six establishment, with its golden sands, perfect blue waters and long stretches, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
