I stayed at Pezula in August 2007. It is not just a fantastic hotel - it is an amazing experience. Beautifully positioned on the famous Knysna Heads, in one direction you have a view of the Knysna Lagoon, and on the other, the Indian Ocean.
The hotel itself is sophisticated and beautifully decorated, and the service is unparalled - kindness, courtsey and attention to detail - yet with discretion. The golf course has amazing views, but I left that to my partner and I enjoyed the luxurious spa. The restuarant has a cosy yet fun atmosphere - it felt "New York" - and the chef was so charming. He makes a unique dish every night. When I was there we had a cake served with an orange sauce using oranges from one of his friend's local gardens.
I could go on and on....well worth a visit. You will feel and be treated like a millionaire, and the food and wine is surprisingly good value. |
