Situated in the small picturesque village of Onrus River, 120 km from Cape Town and 5 km from Hermanus, this unique triple storey dwelling, designed by the artist owner, is your ultimate destination for an unforgettable holiday or weekend getaway. Located on the peninsula of this seaside resort it is only five minutes walk to Onrus beach and lagoon, with splendid views of the sea, the mountains and the magnificent sunsets.
The completely detached and private house is fully equipped. The interior is interestingly decorated with artefacts and features original paintings by South African artists. For privacy and safety the property is completely walled in. The owner, Suzette, who lives on the adjoining property, is available to attend to the needs of guests
The house has been designed to comfortably accommodate any number of persons from 2 to 16, thus allowing for extended groups of family and friends. It is ideally suited for 12 adults and 4 children, but smaller groups are equally welcome. Six individually styled bedrooms can accommodate 12 people and a further four beds are available on two landings. Seven bathrooms service the house.
Main House
The main house has three en suite bedrooms on three different levels. The loft bedroom has a double bed and the other bedrooms have twin beds. A comfortable lounge on the middle floor has easy access to the fully equipped kitchen/dining room.
The loft and middle level boast sea and mountain views. A balcony on three sides of the middle level provides a typical South Africa style of living. The downstairs bedroom opens on to an interesting water feature garden.
Between the main house and the adjoining cottage, a BBQ room, with large fireplace, and a second fully equipped kitchen cater for large groups. Two large tables in this area provide seating for 12 people. This kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry.
Adjoining Cottage
The adjoining cottage features a double bedroom, two bathrooms, a lounge and fully equipped kitchenette downstairs and two twin bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
