About Outeniqua Travel Lodge
The historic Montagu Road, which winds its way through the Garden Route town of George, is home to the owner-run and -managed Outeniqua Travel Lodge.
The house itself is over 100 years old, and is characterised by tastefully appointed antiques and a classic elegance that speaks of a rich heritage. All of this is situated close to the world-renowned Fancourt, a premier golf estate.
The lodge boasts six spacious rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The inviting veranda is a fantastic spot for guests to relax and share their travel experiences while sipping on a hot cup of the freshly brewed coffee, while the smell of the roses creates a serene escape.
Outeniqua Travel Lodge can arrange free airport pickups. Safe parking and Wi-Fi are also free of charge, and well-behaved pets are welcome. A pet-sitting service can also be arranged.

This is a prime spot for avid golfers, as three of South Africaís finest golf courses are just a stoneís throw from the lodge. In addition, the Cango Caves, the Cango Wildlife Ranch, and the ostrich farms of Oudtshoorn make for an ideal day trip, which can be arranged by management at the lodge.
The scenic Herolds Bay is only 15 minutes away, while the exquisite mountain passes are irresistible. Montagu Pass is, arguably, the prettiest of all these passes, and boasts an interesting history, just two kilometres from the lodge.
