Stayed a couple of nights at Oudrif this summer. Oudrif is in a beautiful tranquil location in the Cedarberg and its a great drive from Cape Town to get there. Bill and Jeanine were fantastic hosts, the food was top notch and they have gone to great lengths to provide an exceptional level of hospitality. The eco-friendly setup is very impressive, with the straw bale cottages, organic vegetable garden and solar energy (there seems to be no shortage of sun!) leaving minimal negative impact on the environment.

A most enjoyable stay in peace and solitude.

In March/ April 2008, i stayed for three days at Oudrif Guest Farm.
When i first arrived i was intrigued by the eco-friendly, yet luxurious accomodation provided; the use of plastered hay bales on wooden logs gave the cottages an individual feel.

the food provided was amazing and dining with the managers gave one the feeling that you had their complete attention- a wondreful feeling for guests. each meal provided was different from the last and fantastically prepared.
The bushmen cave paintings walk was really interesting and if i had stayed at oudrif any longer i would have liked to have investigated the various other trails on offer.

throughout my stay at oudrif, i was completely relaxed and it was really nice to get away from cape town for a couple of days- swimming in the river helped this wonderful relaxed feeling.

i definitely intend to visit again next time i feel i need to escape from that crowded city feel!!
