Accommodation
Chalet types include four bedroom houses, three, two and one bedroom units, all with bathrooms and kitchens fully equipped with cutlery crockery bedding and bath towels, please provide your own swimming towels. All units have colour TV with eleven DSTV channels.
Services and Facilities
Facilities on site which add value in terms of Merry Pebbles being a holiday destination rather than just a stop-over include the heated and cold water pools of which both have kiddies paddle pools available. Water slides, tennis court which has coin operated flood lights for evening use. A play park with jungle gym, trampolines, swings and more will keep the children entertained for hours. There is also an indoor entertainment hall which has DSTV, pool tables, video games and table tennis on site.
A mini-market that stocks all daily requirements from bread, milk, and food products is on site and open seven days a week. Specialist services available at the shop include gas refills, ice, fire wood, cell phone recharge vouchers and an ATM is situated inside the reception.
In the Sabie River Trout fishing can be practiced at no extra charge within the resort, with two trout hatcheries upstream from the resort a constant supply of fish is available. Tubing as well as canoeing can be practiced on the river. Hiking trails and mountain bike trails start right on the doorstep of Merry Pebbles.
Dining / The Restaurant
The resort has a fully licensed a la carte’ restaurant on the premises where breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available.
Conferences
There is also a small conference room which can accommodate twenty five delegates on the resort. Within the restaurant an internet station which operates with money is available, and for guests with their own laptop computers free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the resort.
Sabie
Sabie is situated on the escarpment central to all the attractions within the Panorama route this allows easy access to scenery such as Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, and a number of waterfalls of which Bridal Veil Falls and the Sabie Falls can be hiked to from Merry Pebbles resort.
The historic gold mining town of Pilgrims Rest is only 35km from Sabie and is well worth a visit. The Kruger National Park's Phabeni gate is 52km from Sabie and Sudwala Caves 45km to the South.
With Sabie being situated 1050m above sea level there is no Malaria or Bilharzia in the area.
No motorcycles or quad bikes are permitted on the premises at all.
