We experienced 5 Star treatment at this 4 Star taste of heaven! The van der Nest family will welcome you like old friends from the moment you step out of your car. Everything is exactly as presented on the websites. If you are weary, Maqueda Lodge is balm for your soul, and if you are thinking of leaving Africa, you will change your mind! Can't wait to get back there! |

We had a wonderful stay and the lodge was of the highest standard. Great food, good company and a great place to visit. Thank you very much to the Van der Nest family which made us feel at home since the minute we arrived at the lodge. That was such a gorgeous and "spoiling" weekend you gave us ! You really have a special place and you made us so at home! Thankyou for being so welcoming and warm! Our trip back to reality went smoothly....amazing the amount of traffic on that road! Please give our love to Fred and his warthog family that kept popping in!
