Klein Kunkura reserve is a privately owned wildlife paradise run by the Fraser family. As conservationists, avid hunters and leading businessmen we are able to understand and cater to the individual needs of people in all of these categories.

With more than 17 species of game animals, including the elusive leopard, we offer more than just a weekend breakaway, we offer a true wildlife experience. Our qualified staff will ensure that we live up to our AA highly recommended accommodation rating.

ACTIVITIES

Bow hunting:
Hides were built and allocated by bow hunters, for bow hunters, to ensure an ethical and successful hunting experience. Tree stands and pop-ups are also available in the event that we need to alter our tactics, to make sure our clients bag their trophies. Our typography and lush vegetation allows the expert hunter to walk and stalk animals such as the secretive bushbuck, ghostly bush pig and majestic kudu with great success. Crossbows are available for rent for those hunters who would like to try bow-hunting for the first time.

Bass Fishing
Four scenically beautiful dams provide the perfect setting for a lazy afternoon of fishing and fun with the family.

Hiking trails
Hiking trails were marked and set out by our Entomologist Gerrit van Vuuren making them a truly interesting experience highlighted by various unique tree, bird and plant species.

Game drives
Game drives are for an hour, this includes a sun downer, either at a beautiful setting called “small Knysna” or at a beautiful scenic lookout point overseeing the Waterberg Mountains. Animals that can be seen on the drive include giraffe, eland, kudu, waterbuck, impala, zebra, warthog, bushbuck, duiker, baboon, gemsbok, blesbuck and white blesbuck. There is an extra charge for game drives.

• Canoeing - pedal-boats and canoe’s are available for hire to enjoy on three of our four dams.
