About Khaya Ndlovu Manor House

Khaya Ndlovu Manor House is the brain child of Trevor Jordan, owner and founder of Jordan Properties, the wildlife property specialists in the Lowveld. What started off as a personal home evolved into a luxurious, colonial style manor house with interior decorating and magnificent nature views unrivalled by some of the top establishments in safari holiday-making today.

Your gracious hostess is Ronel Lawrie. As ever efficient as she is, she and her well trained team of staff will make your stay unforgettable, creating memories of the African dream enough for a lifetime to come.

To spoil that special person in your life, choose the Leadwood Suite. This luxury room will treat you to a spacious en-suite bathroom and outside shower, and enhance your romantic memories.

The Acacia Family rooms share an adjoining bathroom, while our Jackberry and Marula rooms offer comfortable and convenient luxury with en suite bathrooms.

Outside area

Even while indoors, one is constantly reminded of and greeted by magnificent natural scenes be it either the well established colonial style gardens or the Northern reaches of the Drakensberg Mountain range. The promise of relief from the Lowveld heat and humidity is materialised in the cool depths of the swimming pool overlooking an often frequented game water hole amidst a setting of indigenous trees and shrubbery. A sundowner has never tasted quite as good as it does on the pool deck overlooking the Lowveld scene below.

With a mix of traditional South African food and contemporary cooking, fine dining is guaranteed at Khaya Ndlovu Manor House. Your chef, Charles Mandebvu, is a seasoned expert in the art of making good food great. Charles was originally trained as a pastry chef but branched out into overall cheffing as the need for diversification arose in his Zimbabwean homeland.

Charles most enjoys preparing a la carte dishes as it satisfies his creative need to put something truly special on every plate. Charles also boasts with a large repertoire of vegetarian dishes to meet even the most challenging requests. Accordingly, this soft spoken culinary artist prefers working with fresh produce rather than frozen food stuffs as “the flavours are just so much better” says Charles. “I even dream about cooking at night and I will write my own book with my chef daughter in the near future.”
