Nestled deep in the Waterberg Mountain range of the Limpopo Province in the Republic of South Africa and a mere two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport, is Jobedi Game Reserve. With our Game Reserve at your disposal, you can appreciate nature and be assured of a great holiday packed with experiences, adventure and new friendships. Jobedi Game Reserve is self-contained and completely fenced in one 56 km circumference. There are about 280 different tree, shrub and grass species, as well as moss and ferns. More than 260 species of birds have been identified, ranging from fish eagles to water birds. The Reserve is partly mountainous, with gorges, waterfalls and hanging cliffs, offering the best spectacular vista in Africa. Open savannah plains and bush that vary from pristine to ravine together with impassable wild areas create a haven for more than 28 species of game, including giraffe, nyala, bushbuck, eland, zebra, black and blue wildebeest and the mysterious leopard. ACCOMMODATIONJobedi Game Lodge offers a variety of chalets, cottages and camps catering for couples or groups wishing to enjoy the bush from their own private, comfortable and accommodating venues. All in a Malaria and Bilharzia free area. Main Lodge: The Main Lodge houses the Reception, games area, DSTV and Curio shop. Conference facilities are available as well as a 480-seater auditorium. The auditorium is often used for game auctions together with the adjacent game pens. Chalets: Situated in the gardens of the Main Lodge, the Chalets provide ‘home from home’ accommodation for those guests a bit nervous to stray too far from civilization, but wanting to relax in beautiful surroundings. Each Chalet has three bedrooms, either one or two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, lounge and screened veranda. A private boma with braai facilities to ensure the best of Jobedi atmosphere. All the units are serviced daily. Rondawels: Four thatched rondawels tastefully furnished situated close to the main lodge. Each rondawel accommodates two guests with fully equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom with shower and private boma ideal for a couple or a group of friends wishing to be together but still have privacy when quiet time is needed. Rondawels serviced daily. Rocks Cottages: Five thatched rock structured Cottages spaciously separated in the thick bushes around the swimming pool at the Main Lodge. Each Cottage accommodates two guests with en-suite bathroom and shower, bar fridge and kettle and basic kitchen equipment. Guests can enjoy their own braai in the boma adjoining the Cottage. All the units are serviced daily. Caravan and Camping site: Caravan and camping sites are available with ablution facilities. BUSH CAMPSBushpig: Our best seller, a thatch, double-storey cottage 11km from the Main Camp. Two bedrooms, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor and one large room upstairs with single sleeper bunks. For the real Africa feeling try our outside showers and toilets, or enjoy a romantic night in your private boma under the canopy of a fig tree. Impala: This quaint thatched house is situated at a waterhole near one of the river-streams leading to our beautiful swimming hole. It has three bedrooms, bathroom with bath, fully equipped kitchen and a screened verandah overlooking a waterhole. Klipspringer: Our best kept secret!! Hidden away in the mountains and off the beaten track, this enchanting two bedroom stone cottage with fully equipped kitchen, private boma and very own splash pool, will guarantee the perfect secluded weekend getaway for those wishing to spoil that someone special in their lives. Palala: For the budget conscious large family who wants the comforts of home this charming four bedroom (10 sleeper) renovated farm house will be the perfect choice. The peace and tranquility of the setting will ensure a memorable yet affordable break from the hectic city life. Three cottages, 9km from the Main Camp overlooking a water hole, provide an excellent venue for groups or families wishing to be together but still have privacy when bedtimes comes.
