Decent place to stay. We stayed in room 15. If one were looking to improve, I'd suggest the following:
1. Longer beds - I'm 6"1 so not that tall but the double beds are both a bit short and narrow
2. Double glazing - we heard the road traffic all night through the wafer thin single paned glass
3. Black out curtains. We were awoken with sunrise due to thin and light curtains. A bit longer kip (at least the option to have one) would have been preferable
None of these were a train smash but detracted from the otherwise beautiful setting, super friendly staff and good food.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and the heating was much appreciated, as were the big log fires in the lounge and dining room. The decor in the lodge was beautiful, with plenty of thatch and wood. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was reasonably priced, delicious and well presented. The walk through the beautiful indigenous Ingeli Forest was well worth the effort, with well maintained paths. Thank you for a most enjoyable weekend.
