Self Catering Accommodation

Glen Kanaan Accommodation is situated in beautiful surroundings and provides safe and tranquil accommodation. The separate guest facilities consist of two spacious guest rooms with a bathroom each. The first bedroom is equipped with a double bed and air-conditioner and the second bedroom with two single beds. Each of the bathrooms have a shower, wash basin and toilet.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with fridge, microwave oven and electric frying pan, among others. A private entrance leads to the living area, which is fully furnished. Safe undercover parking is available, as well as an outdoor area with braai facilities. Overnight visitors will receive a continental breakfast.

Activities and Attractions

Sights to see in the immediate vicinity include: the Modder River and steel bridge (1km from Glen Kanaan) and Glen Agricultural College (3km), which is very interesting to visit. The Florisbad research station is 30km away, where the 259 000 year old human skull was discovered in 1932. En route to Florisbad is the Soetdoring Nature Reserve and also Soutpan, where salt is still extracted in the traditional manner.

There are also other private game reserves in the vicinity. A number of Anglo-Boer battlefields are within easy reach of Glen Kanaan. The Boyden Observatory is situated 13km east of Glen Kanaan and guided tours can be booked. Horse rides are available only 5 km away. The city of Bloemfontein also has a rich history with a number of museums.
