After 18 years in the accommodation business, the George Lodge International is a venue that is steeped in tradition. Not only is the building one of the oldest buildings in George, but it is also so centrally located both in George and in the Garden Route that going anywhere, whether it be for dinner or for a scenic drive is all within reach. George Lodge International is a family owned business. A breath of tranquility admidst city splendour, situated in the picturesque town of George, a mere 5 minute’s walk from the main centre of town, the George Lodge International is a Garden Route secret that has found a way to cleverly combine big city luxury with small town hospitality. Offering accommodation, conferencing facilties, breakfast and dinner on request, the Lodge has an elegant old Cape Dutch feeling with all the trimmings for modern day comfort. With a poolside patio and deck with stunning views of mountain, there is no excuse not to enjoy your stay. AccommodationThe lodge boasts 22 en-suite rooms, ranging from charming double rooms for the weary traveler, to larger rooms with small kitchens for the self-catering guests. There are single, double and family-sized rooms uniquely tailored to your every need. Single rooms are available with 2 twin beds or a double bed. Double rooms are also available with 2 twin beds or a double bed. Two of the double rooms is equipped with a small kitchennette and one single or double room ( 2 single beds inside) are equipped with small kitchens. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, some with showers, and some with baths. Every room is equipped with coffee making facilities as well as TV with M-Net and 2 DSTV channels (Super Sport and Movie Magic). Garden Route Weddings & ConferencesThe George Lodge International is not only a place where you can let go and put your feet up. It also offers a selection of conference rooms for conferences, functions and small weddings. Full catering available on request. We treat each as if it were our own, because we know how important it is to you. We are committed to paying exceptional attention to detail when organizing a function to ensure that it runs smoothly and professionally. To do this, we will liaise with you constantly and negotiate the best possible conference package to satisfy your needs. DinnerWe offer dinner in our banquet hall for the convenience of our clients, it is optional over and above the bed and breakfast package that we offer. The Meal consist of appetizer followed by main home cooked meal and then delicious desserts are served afterwards. The meal also includes a complimentary glass of wine or juice. Reservations for dinner can be made at one of our receptions who will enform our in house chef accordingly. ActivitiesIt is no secret that the Garden Route is renowned for its immaculate golf courses and lush green fairways, so mixing business with pleasure is highly recommended. The George Golf Course is only 1 km from the Lodge and we are therefore ideally located for golf groups. We can accommodate up to 44 people and have special packages available. For the ladies, we recommend shopping at the Garden Route mall while the guys are enjoying their golf.
