The Sandcastle is a sea side beach house that provides luxury sea side accommodation. It is located in Vleesbaai (Mossel Bay area) in the heart of the Garden Route along paradise coast - a private beach resort with a 24 hour entrance control to ensure your safety. George Airport is 80km away - airport transfers can be arranged. It only takes a 2 minute stroll along the boardwalk to the long stretch of unspoiled beach, very safe for swimming, surfing, boating and fishing. AccommodationThere are 3 units that cater for 2, 4 or 6 persons respectively. In total, there are six spacious double bedroom suites complete with luxurious linen, towels and toiletries - no beach towels provided. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds that can be converted to two single beds (twins). 5 of the bedrooms lead to a verandah or private garden, and 4 bedrooms have a spectacular view of the ocean and fynbos surrounds where one can sit and have a sundowner, or watch the whales, dolphins and birds. All rooms have under floor heating, and bedrooms are equipped with a TV (DSTV), bar fridge and coffee / tea tray. Rooms are serviced daily - linen and towels replaced when necessary. A 24 hour laundry service is also available. CateringThere is a private kitchen and dining area for each unit, equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, microwave oven and all the necessary utensils, cutlery and crockery. Guests can also make use of several in and outdoor braai areas. A General Dealer is within walking distance for food supplies and other necessities. The units share catering facilities when fully booked as follows: The penthouse suite (for 2-4 persons) includes a private open plan lounge (with bed couch) and dining area with indoor fireplace / braai that leads out towards a private garden terrace. The 2 bedroomed unit leads out to a sun deck and down to the braai lapa with gazebo and a flintstone bench. The 3 bedroomed unit is very spacious with a large lounge and dining area with indoor braai. WEDDING FACILITIEsWe can arrange small weddings (around 100 people). The ceremony can be on the beach, and the reception either on the beach in a Moroccan tent or a large marquee overlooking the ocean. Our service can also include decorations of the venue and tables, as well as catering for the function. For very small weddings of around 30 guests we suggest an indoor reception on site. Accommodation for guests can be arranged within Vleesbaai so that all guests can get to and from the celebration easily. The honeymoon couple and closest friends will be accommodated in the Sandcastle. The honeymoon suite comes with free champagne, fresh flowers, fruit, nuts and chocolates, and may include other treats if required. CONFERENCE FACILITIESWe cater for small conferences (around 20 people). All attendees will either be accommodated on site or within walking distance from the conference venue. The conference venue consists of tables and chairs for 20 persons, with the necessary stationary, water and sweets. Refreshments will be served during tea breaks. Full catering can be arranged if required. A projector, white board and pens can be made available.
