If I could give them more than a 5, I would! It was a dream come true. From a quick dip in the cool water of the pool, to the Protea and other fynbos growing in back of the lodge to the game drives and the food - it was all fantastic! I am a biology teacher and listened to every word of the game drive guide. The guides were knowledgable and listened as well as talked. Several of the guys I chatted with and asked questions of, genuinely seemed to love their jobs. It made a difference for me. I loved the room (don't open your windows at night in the summer if you don't like spiders), especially the bath. I only stayed one night but got a lifetime of memories out of the experience. I shared my pictures and what I had learned with my first class back to school and one ninth grader said it was the best lesson he had had all year, he leaned so much! I could go on and on but I won't. It is a GREAT place! |

Pros: Great value, very friendly staff, extremely knowledgeable game drive guides, good sized rooms, large dinner and breakfast buffet, saw "The Big 5", well maintained facilities.
Cons: One of the of the head staff members was a little "too much," website doesn't give a whole lot of info, such as what the package includes. |

I am South African, we have lived in Spain for 8yrs and I returned with my family and found it to be excellent in all respect. Good fun for the kids with the treasure hunt and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner in the boumah, fantastic wholesome food and loved all the staff. Want to return July 2009! Will make enquiries now. Thank you for a wonderful African experience. |
