Hlambamasoka Private Game Reserve and Fountainhill Guest Lodge are part of a working, family run, avocado, sugar, and beef farm - Fountainhill Estate. We are situated just 2 kms before Wartburg on the R614, and just 35 kms from Pietermaritzburg. The Hlabamasoka Game Reserve covers 1400 hectares of unspoiled, beautiful, KwaZulu Natal bush, and is home to abundant game, including Kudu, Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, various antelope species and reptiles. Our bird list boasts over 250 species. As well as our reserve, our farm is a photographer’s paradise. For those who love nature and the outdoors, we offer spectacular scenery, fishing, nature walks, game drives in open game vehicle, and abundant fresh air. AccommodationOur accommodation is luxurious, immaculate, and well maintained, and offers comfortable beds, quality linen and great breakfasts. Accommodation is available on a bed & breakfast basis in the Guest Lodge, or self-catering in Georgenau Cottage or The Homestead. Fountainhill Guest Lodge can sleep up to 13 people in 4 suites in the Guest Lodge, and up to 12 people in 2 self-catering units. Blue Crane Suite: Our premier suite (honeymooners take note) air-conditioned, supreme comfort and luxury with queen-size bed and full bathroom. Lounge with DSTV, DVD and bar fridge. Guinea Fowl Suite: Luxury suite with double bed and bathroom with a shower only (no bath). Lounge with DSTV, DVD Player and bar fridge. Hornbill Suite: Suite with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and lounge with DSTV and Bar Fridge. Sleeps up to 5 people – main bedroom with a double bed, 2nd bedroom with a double bed and 3rd bedroom with 1 single bed. Sunbird Suite: Suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and lounge with DSTV and Bar Fridge. Sleeps up to 4 people – main bedroom with a double bed and 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds. Georgenau Cottage: Georgenau Cottage is a luxury, fully equipped self-catering cottage with 2 en-suite bedrooms (sleeps up to 4 people), with DSTV and a fireplace. There is a swimming pool nearby and game can be observed from the cottage patio. A Full English breakfast can be taken at the Guest Lodge (optional). The Homestead: The Homestead is a luxury house. The Homestead is fully equipped for self catering and sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, with 2 full bathrooms and a cloakroom. Main bedroom is en-suite. DVD player in lounge, and DSTV in lounge and main bedroom. The house is situated in a beautiful garden and has a garage for 2 cars. A full English breakfast can be taken at the Guest Lodge (optional). DiningWe offer breakfast only. ConferencesWe offer professional service for your next small conference. Our small air-conditioned conference venue for up to 15 delegates is suitable for managerial meetings, strategic planning sessions, budget, and board meetings. Conference facilities include white boards, flip charts, overhead projector, projector screens, and data projector. Luxury overnight accommodation is available in 10 rooms. ACCREDITATIONS
