George Accommodation / Fairview Historic Homestead George Accommodation / Bed & Breakfast in George

Whether on business or holiday on the Garden Route, home comforts and privacy will ensure a memorable stay in this graciously restored home with it’s magnificent gardens, swimming pool and off-street parking.

In 1994 Desmond and Philda Benkenstein bought Fairview and started extensive restoration to the homestead and gardens. Today, Fairview’s long lost splendor and elegance has been recaptured. The house and grounds are now listed with the National Monument’s Council.

Desmond is the creative force behind the gardens and Philda is a member of the popular local catering company called Trio Bella. Dinner is available on request - with the emphasis on traditional South African fare. Cooking classes are offered in the farmhouse kitchen for groups of 4 or more.
