About Eshowe Hills Eco and Golf Estate
Situated on the rolling hills just outside Eshowe, with magnificent views down to the coast, and within easy reach of the new King Shaka Airport, Eshowe Hills Eco and Golf Estate offers not only a unique golfing experience for enthusiasts but also a base for visitors wishing to explore the historical or natural attractions of beautiful Zululand.
The emphasis on the estate is to preserve the environment and the developers have adopted the Audubon method of conservation so that 20% of the course itself is uncultivated encouraging the wild grasses to grow and provide a safe habitat for birds and small animals like hares and duikers. The estate encompasses what was a small nature reserve so there are many walks and trails through forest and grassland where one is very likely to come across bushbuck or blue duiker. In addition the Estate has six all weather tennis courts and two squash courts.
Due to popular request the developers have decided to introduce holiday accommodation on the estate and the self catering Weavers Nest is the first to open.
A duplex with two double bedrooms upstairs, both ensuite and downstairs there is a spacious living area with open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge and large verandah.
The duplex overlooks a pretty small dam, popular with weavers and water birds and is close to the Club house which has a good restaurant and bar. The house is attractively and comfortably furnished, the bedrooms boast good quality linen and the kitchen is well equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and everything else the visitor needs to prepare a meal.
