About Ellerbeck Country Lodge
Ellerbeck Country Lodge is located just outside the quaint old-world town of Clocolan, in the eastern Free State, 135km from Bloemfontein and 365km from Johannesburg. The lodge is nestled between the Korannaberg and the Maluti Mountains, overlooking magnificent sandstone formations, carved over millions of years by wind and water. Their typical brilliant displays of gold and copper cliffs have made this part of the world famous worldwide.
Ellerbeck Country Lodge offers a peaceful alternative to those small touristic towns and offer visitors a spectacular world of rock formations and untouched nature: the perfect backdrop for walks and bird watching.
Accommodation at Ellerbeck Country Lodge is provided either in our three luxury chalets or in the main country house overlooking our spectacular valley, framed by beautiful mountains and their rocky sandstone outcrops.
The three chalets sleep two guests each while the main house can accommodate eight guests. All accommodation facilities are within walking distance of the Ellerbeck Conference Hall / Wedding Venue and the obvious place to stay when visiting for a conference or wedding.
Disabled guests are welcome and can be accommodated in the three chalets as they are easily accessible by wheel chair and spacious. Kids are also welcome at Ellerbeck Country Lodge: We can accommodate children under 10 with special beds while children over 11 are required to book separately.
All rooms are heated and stocked with warm blankets, wall heaters, coffee and tea stations and towels. Every room is decorated in its own style and has its own special character and identity. Guests can choose to stay in Rose, Opal, Pearl, Sapphire, Tanzanite, Ruby or Topaz. Our room names were inspired by the rich colours of the stand stone outcrops and cliffs in the area.
