Originally booked for 4 nights but extended the stay to be 5 nights. I would highly recommend Cotswold House to any traveller to Cape Town as I found the owners and staff to be willing to accommodate any request throughout the day or evening. The owner lives locally so they are easily contactable should the need arise.
The breakfast is abundant and beautifully presented. I found the fruit salad particularly nice as it is all fresh fruit and well presented. I was even accommodated with a special request for breakfast when I asked for sudza as this is a traditional African food.
The rooms were extremely comfortable and always clean. The comfort of a good sized bath was enjoyed every night.
You have access to the internet and there is an extensive library to borrow from. If you can play a piano there is one to enjoy.
All in all I have actually recommended Cotswold House to friends who are travelling to Cape Town in June and I would not hesitate to return there.

A truely outstanding establishment. The owner and staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. They were willing to go out of their way to help us when we needed their help.

Cotswold House is absolutley superb. The rooms are first rate, the house and garden is beautifull. The house and garden is surrounded by a high wall offering security, with an automatic gate. The gardens also include a good sized swimming pool. Cotswold House is close to the beach, which is an easy walk over a bridge. The drive to Cape Town city centre takes about 15 minutes.

At the end of our stay the owner gave us a tour of all the other rooms available, and all are first class standard. In terms of value for money we have rarely seen better. The 4 star rating in SA is a higher standard than the equivalent in the UK, and Cotswold House certainly deserves their 4 star rating. We would highly recommend Cotswold House to anyone planning to stay in Cape Town.
